Wrexham-based teacher recruitment company Educate Resourcing has bought Lincolnshire training company Educate Teacher Training.
Educate Resourcing was founded last year and serves North Wales and the North West of England, providing teaching and support staff to primary, secondary and tertiary education, alternative curriculum courses and specialised personal tuition.
It has grown rapidly in its core locations and is backed by high net worth individual Gary Dewhurst, who recently sold a 75 percent stake in gap personnel for £20m.
The acquisition of Grantham-based Educate Teacher Training will enable the business to enter the training market and increase the opportunities to apply its specialist teaching packages.
The acquisition is part of Educate Resourcing's growth strategy with plans to expand into South East England, and to develop its existing provision along the North Wales coast. The company also aims to support overseas students with Teacher Training and employment opportunities as well as establishing relationships with a number of UK universities.
Mark Jones, director of Educate Resourcing, said: "The acquisition of Educate Teacher Training is a significant development for our business.
"Although we are a relatively young organisation, we have established a positive presence in the North Wales and North West markets through with our specialist services and the combined educational experience of our team.
"The addition of a teacher training provision will open new opportunities for the business in our existing locations, but importantly enable us to offer our alternative curriculum and tuition services to the Lincolnshire area and support the education of a growing number of young people."
Julie Kitchen from Educate Teacher Training, added: "There are strong synergies between the two businesses, which we can build on, along with complementary services that can add value to our offerings to the education sector.
"This deal will provide an important springboard for our business and we look forward to being part of the Educate Resourcing Group of Companies."
